Tina completed Britain’s eventing campaign with an impressive individual bronze medal to add to her team bronze.
Tina, riding Miners Frolic, went into final round of show jumping in joint sixth place but put the pressure on the other riders by riding an impressive clear round. She then had to wait until the other riders could better her score.
Only two could – Gina Miles, USA took silver with Germany’s Hinrich Romeike taking gold.
Tina paid tribute to Miner’s Frolic, “He was super and really deserved a medal; he was fantastic! When it gets to that stage it’s all about mind over matter. He’s an amazing horse and has been fantastic in all three stages.”
“This is a dream come true. During the competition I tried to focus on my performance and not look back. It’s very important to stay relaxed. You just hope other competitors have a fence down and then you can get a medal.”
